Sous Chef/Kitchen Manager

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Sous Chef to join our team. As a Sous Chef, you will be responsible for overseeing the kitchen and ensuring efficient operations. You will play a key role in menu planning, inventory control, food safety, and supervising staff. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership skills and a passion for providing excellent hospitality.
Duties:
- Manage and supervise the kitchen and cafe.
- Maintain inventory control and order necessary supplies to ensure smooth operations
- Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and maintain proper sanitation standards
- Collaborate with other departments
- Monitor food quality and presentation to ensure high standards are met
- Assist with shift management and handle any issues or concerns that may arise
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in a similar role within the food service industry
- Strong knowledge of food management principles, including menu planning and inventory control
- Excellent leadership skills with the ability to motivate and supervise a team
- Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices
- Exceptional organizational and time management skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
