Full Stack Java and GCP Engineer

Job DescriptionA client of Insight Global is seeking an experienced Full Stack Engineer to support a highly visible Enterprise Payments Platform responsible for payment origination, processing, disbursement, and settlement capabilities. This role will focus on designing, developing, and supporting cloud-native applications and APIs that power large-scale payment operations.The ideal candidate combines strong full-stack engineering expertise with deep Google Cloud Platform (GCP) knowledge and a passion for building secure, scalable, high-performing solutions in an agile environment.You will work closely with product owners, business stakeholders, architects, and enterprise technology teams to deliver innovative payment solutions while ensuring operational excellence and production stability.Key ResponsibilitiesDesign, develop, and maintain cloud-native applications and services on Google Cloud Platform (GCP)Build and enhance backend services using Java, Spring Framework, and Spring BootDevelop responsive front-end applications and user experiences using ReactDesign, build, and support secure RESTful APIs for internal and external integrationsPartner with architecture and integration teams to implement scalable service-oriented solutionsContribute to API strategy utilizing API management technologies such as Apigee or API GatewaySupport payment processing systems handling high-volume transaction workloadsParticipate in production support, root cause analysis, troubleshooting, and performance tuningImplement DevOps best practices including CI/CD, automated testing, monitoring, and observabilityCollaborate within Agile/Scrum teams to deliver new capabilities and enhancementsEnsure compliance with security, risk, and enterprise architecture standardsWe are a company committed to creating diverse and inclusive environments where people can bring their full, authentic selves to work every day.
