Position Details:Job Title: Grievance & Appeals Coordinator IContract Duration: 6+ months contract (potential to extend)Job Summary / Overview:The Grievance & Appeals Coordinator I is responsible for reviewing, investigating, and resolving member and provider complaints, grievances, and appeals. This role involves analyzing claims and authorization issues, communicating with members and providers, and ensuring timely, accurate resolution in accordance with established guidelines. The position requires strong organization, communication, and problem-solving skills in a high-volume, detail-driven environment.Top Required Skills (Ranked):Experience with grievance, appeals, claims, or managed care processesStrong communication skills (written and verbal)Organizational and problem-solving skills with attention to detailPreferred Skills / Nice to Have:Knowledge of Iowa Medicaid programs and servicesCall center or customer service experienceExperience handling high-volume casework or documentationEducation Requirement:High school diploma or equivalent required; associate’s degree preferred
