Senior UX Designer
Qcells is seeking a Senior UX Designer to craft exceptional digital experiences that support our customers, partners, and internal teams. In this role, you'll drive design execution from concept to implementation, while influencing product direction by championing the needs of our users. You will work across mobile apps, web applications, and websites that power smart home energy management and next generation clean energy solutions. This role is ideal for a designer who thrives in end-to-end ownership, has a strong foundation in research-driven design, and is eager for collaboration and strengthening our design culture. You'll partner with product, engineering, and business teams to create scalable, cohesive experiences.Experience DesignLead UX execution across discovery, research, design, validation, and delivery for complex product initiativesCreate user flows, wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity design artifacts that communicate both vision and detailed behaviorCollaboration & DeliveryPartner closely with Product Managers and Engineers to define problems, explore solutions, and deliver outcomesCommunicate design rationale and research insights through compelling storytelling to cross-functional partners and stakeholdersEstimate, plan, and track work to ensure on-time deliveryResearch & DiscoveryPlan and conduct qualitative and quantitative research; synthesize findings into clear insights, principles, and recommendationsCreate visualizations (e.g., journey maps, ecosystem maps, experience models) to communicate customer needs, complexities, and opportunitiesDesign Excellence & CultureContribute patterns, components, and principles to our design system and drive its adoption across projectsContribute to improving design processes, standards, and ways of working within team and product area (e.g., crit culture, process improvement, design ops)Advocate for customers and high-quality user experiences throughout the product lifecycleRequired QualificationsBachelor's degree in User Experience Design, Human-Computer Interaction (HCI), Interaction Design, a related field, or equivalent professional experience5+ years of professional experience in UX, product design, interaction design, or a related disciplineStrong command across the entire UX discipline, with clear strengths in at least two areas (e.g., interaction design, research, information architecture, visual design, prototyping)Demonstrated experience conducting user research and applying research insights directly into design workAbility to work independently with minimal guidance while knowing when to seek input or alignmentProven ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional partners across time zones and culturesStrong communication and stakeholder management skillsTeam player eager to collaborate with and support the growth of other designersTravel may be required up to 10%, depending on business needs.Preferred QualificationsIndustry experience in smart home, IoT, solar, energy storage, or related domainsFamiliarity with accessibility standards and inclusive design practicesUse of AI ToolsAs a technology organization, Qcells expects team members to leverage AI models and AI-assisted tools in their daily workflows where appropriate.
