This travel nursing opportunity is perfect for Cardiac Stepdown RNs and Cardiology RNs who specialize in telemetry, remote device monitoring, and cardiac implantable electronic devices (CIEDs) including pacemakers, ICDs, and CRTs. Key Responsibilities (Cardiac Stepdown / Cardiology RN) Provide comprehensive nursing care in a high-volume cardiology clinic, including cardiovascular assessments and triage for acute and chronic cardiac conditions. Manage patients with cardiac implantable electronic devices (CIEDs): pacemakers, ICDs, CRTs—perform in-clinic and remote device interrogations. document findings and escalate per clinic protocols. Collaborate with cardiologists and electrophysiology teams to optimize device programming and patient care plans. Assist with pre- and post-procedure care for device implantation: patient prep, wound assessment, complication monitoring, and discharge education. Ensure compliance with clinical protocols, telemetry standards, safety policies, and regulatory requirements in both in-person and remote monitoring workflows. Qualifications & Requirements Active Vermont RN license or Compact RN license required (Vermont nursing license) Minimum 1 year recent RN experience in a cardiac or stepdown setting; 3 years outpatient cardiology experience strongly preferred Experience with device management and remote monitoring (pacemaker, ICD, CRT) highly preferred Acute care experience and telemetry experience highly preferred Travel nursing experience preferred (travel nurse / travel RN) Active American Heart Association (AHA) BLS certification required; ACLS preferred where applicable Resume with detailed departmental experience required Recent cardiac skills checklist (within the past year) required Two supervisory references from the last two years of employment required What Makes This Role a Great Fit Focused outpatient schedule (weekdays only) ideal for work-life balance Hands-on cardiac device clinic experience and exposure to remote monitoring technology Opportunity to work with a dedicated cardiovascular care team in Brattleboro, VT—a welcoming New England community known for its vibrant arts scene, lively downtown, and abundant outdoor recreation.
