Sr. Analytics Engineer

For our client, we are seeking a Sr. Analytics Engineer to join the team of a leader in the Information Technology space. This role will lead technical work focused on cloud-enabled scalability, reliability, and delivery excellence. You will partner with business, technical, and operational stakeholders to build reporting, surface trends, and translate analysis into action. The position offers the opportunity to strengthen data-driven execution and help teams focus on the metrics that matter most within a technology-driven environment.Location: Remote - US based candidates only, no visa sponsorship availableCompensation: $160,000 – $185,000 annuallyResponsibilities Own the transformation layer of data products Design and build dbt models using software engineering best practices Establish modeling standards and maintain a documented codebase Create a semantic layer with certified metrics across the organization Deliver core data products with clear schema and lineage Implement quality checks and observability for trustworthy data Partner cross-functionally with teams to align on metrics and definitionsQualifications 8+ years of experience in analytics engineering, data engineering, business intelligence, or closely related fields Advanced SQL skills with experience building production-grade analytical models Strong hands-on experience with dbt for modeling, tests, documentation, and CI/CD Experience with Snowflake or similar modern cloud data warehouses Familiarity with building a semantic or metric layer using tools like dbt Semantic Layer or LookML Proficient in applying software engineering principles, including version control and testing Strong grounding in data modeling and defining metrics from requirements Excellent communication skills with technical and non-technical stakeholdersBenefits Opportunity to build a modern analytics foundation from scratch High-autonomy role allowing for impactful contributions Collaboration with cross-functional teams including Finance and Marketing Emphasis on employee growth and learning within the company culture The company encourages diverse perspectives and authentic self-expressionOur client is an equal opportunity employer.
