Senior Deployment Engineer

Job Description SummaryConsulting Services within GE Vernova is seeking a Senior Deployment Engineer to join the PlanOS DevOps team and support customer deployment of our integrated systems planning software. This role is responsible for working directly with customers to install, configure, validate, and troubleshoot the product in customer environments.As part of the PlanOS DevOps team, this person will play a key role in customer implementations, helping ensure deployments are successful and operational issues are resolved efficiently. The role also partners closely with development and DevOps teammates to improve installation processes, deployment tooling, environment standards, and overall product operability.ResponsibilitiesJob DescriptionLead and support installation, configuration, and validation of the product in customer environmentsWork directly with customer technical teams to prepare for deployment, execute installation activities, and confirm successful setupSupport deployments in AWS, Azure, or on-premises environmentsTroubleshoot installation, configuration, infrastructure, networking, and access-related issues during implementation and early operational useCoordinate with development and DevOps teams to investigate and resolve product, platform, and deployment issuesServe as a technical point of contact for deployment-related activities during customer implementationsSupport upgrades, patches, and environment changes for deployed systemsDocument installation steps, prerequisites, troubleshooting procedures, and known issuesIdentify recurring deployment challenges and work with DevOps and development teams to improve automation, tooling, documentation, and installation reliabilityContribute to standard deployment practices and a better overall customer experienceRequired4+ years of experience in DevOps, delivery engineering, deployment engineering, implementation engineering, or similar technical rolesHands-on experience deploying and supporting Kubernetes-based applicationsExperience with software deployment in AWS and/or Azure, and/or familiarity with on-premise infrastructureExperience troubleshooting deployment, infrastructure, and environment configuration issuesWorking knowledge of Linux systems, networking, and access/security fundamentalsPreferredAbility to work effectively with customer technical teams and internal engineering teamsStrong communication, coordination, and technical documentation skillsExperience with Helm, Terraform, CI/CD pipelines, scripting, or other deployment automation toolsExperience in customer-facing enterprise software deployment or implementation rolesFamiliarity with logging, monitoring, and operational diagnostics in Kubernetes environmentsExposure to secrets management, certificates, identity/access controls, and other enterprise deployment security practicesExperience improving deployment processes based on customer implementation feedbackBackground in energy, utilities, or industrial software environments is a plusGE Vernova offers a great work environment, professional development, challenging careers, and competitive compensation. The Company pays a geographic differential of 110%, 120% or 130% of salary in certain areas.
