Details Located in the Neuro Progressive Care Unit (NPCU) on the 5th floor of a 355-bed hospital Patient population includes adult and geriatric patients with neurological and medical diagnoses Common diagnoses include stable post-stroke, stable neuro-surgery, telemetry, and general medical patients Specialty cases include neuro medical strokes, neuro-ortho surgeries, and overflow telemetry and medical patients 20-bed unit with an approximate 1:5 nurse-to-patient ratio EMR: Cerner (required) Day shift: 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM Every other weekend required No on-call requirements Floating required to Medical, Telemetry, and Neuro units 13-week contract Requirements Active NC or Compact RN license required Current BLS certification required (RQI certifications are not accepted) Minimum 2 years of RN experience required Cerner EMR experience required Social Security number required for consideration Date of birth required for consideration Must reside 60 miles from the facility to qualify for travel rates Additional Information Part of a Duke LifePoint Health hospital system with specialty centers including a Brain Center, Cancer Center, Heart Center, and Level 3 NICU Candidates must not have worked as permanent staff at any LifePoint facility within the past 12 months Candidates cannot be employed full-time elsewhere during the assignment COVID vaccination card required American Traveler Job ID P-682507.
