Senior E-Commerce Finance Manager

Responsibilities: Financial Reporting and Analysis: Manage comprehensive sales reporting by gathering data from multiple e-commerce platforms to create weekly, monthly, and annual reports. Analyze historical data to forecast financial trends, offering insights that inform inventory planning, marketing spend, and strategic decisions. Conduct weekly and monthly reporting on Cost of Goods Sold (COGS), providing essential data for inventory accounting. Generate and manage P&L statements, Cash Flow statements, and other financial reports, ensuring accuracy and compliance. Financial Operations and Compliance Management: Oversee daily operations of the accounting department, including account reconciliations and preparation of financial statements. Manage sales tax obligations through platforms like TaxJar and Shopify, ensuring timely and accurate tax payments. Audit transportation, inventory invoices, and financial reports to prevent discrepancies and overpayments. E-Commerce Strategic Planning and Stakeholder Engagement: Analyze past performance and forecast future financial trends specific to our e-commerce initiatives, contributing to the strategic planning process. Prepare and present financial data to stakeholders, including investors and tax accountants, providing actionable insights related to e-commerce performance. Assist in budgeting and forecasting processes, aligning them with the company’s strategic goals for online business operations. Leadership and System Implementation: Support the implementation and continuous improvement of financial systems and tools, enhancing efficiency and accuracy in our e-commerce operations. Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field; CPA designation or Master’s degree preferred. Proven experience as a Financial Analyst, Accounting Manager, or Finance Manager with a strong background in financial principles and analysis, particularly in e-commerce. Proficiency in financial analysis tools such as Excel, VBA, pivot tables, and familiarity with QuickBooks Online and Tableau. Knowledge of Hyperion is a plus. Exceptional analytical skills with the ability to interpret and communicate complex financial data effectively. Strong leadership and communication skills, with a keen eye for detail and accuracy.
