Junior Software Engineer

Overview:We are seeking an entry-level QA / Software Tester to join our team. This role is ideal for a recent Computer Science graduate who is interested in software quality, testing, and ensuring applications perform reliably for users. You will work closely with developers, product managers, and other QA team members to test new features, identify issues, and support the delivery of high-quality software.Responsibilities:Execute manual test cases to validate functionality, usability, and performance of web or software applicationsIdentify, document, and track bugs or defects using a ticketing or test management systemCollaborate with developers to reproduce issues and verify fixesAssist with writing and maintaining test cases, test plans, and testing documentationParticipate in Agile ceremonies such as sprint planning, standups, and retrospectivesSupport regression testing during releases to ensure existing functionality continues to work properlyLearn and assist with automated testing frameworks where applicableQualifications:Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Systems, or related field (recent graduate or graduating soon)Exposure to software testing concepts through coursework, internships, or projectsBasic understanding of programming languages such as Java, Python, or JavaScriptFamiliarity with software development lifecycle and Agile environmentsAbility to work collaboratively in a team environmentPreferred Qualifications:Internship or project experience related to software testing or QAExposure to automated testing tools such as Selenium, Cypress, or similar frameworksFamiliarity with bug tracking tools such as JiraUnderstanding of APIs and basic testing conceptsWhat You’ll Gain:Hands-on experience testing real-world software applicationsExposure to Agile development environmentsMentorship from experienced QA engineers and developersOpportunities to grow into automation and advanced testing roles
