Your Role as the Certified Nurse Aide (CNA)Americare Senior Living is seeking a compassionate and dependable Certified Nurse Aide (CNA) to provide high-quality, resident-centered care in a safe, home-like environment. In this role, you'll make a meaningful impact by supporting residents with daily living activities while ensuring their comfort, dignity, and well-being.The Certified Nurse Aide (CNA) provides direct physical and emotional care to residents in accordance with individualized care plans, state regulations, and Americare standards. This role is a vital part of the interdisciplinary care team and helps ensure residents feel safe, respected, and supported each day.This role may also be known as: Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA), Certified Nurse Aide, Nursing Assistant, or Caregiver.What You'll DoProvide direct physical and emotional care to residents, including personal hygiene, transferring, and liftingAssist residents with activities of daily living (ADLs) and meal supportAccurately observe, document, and report resident care, conditions, and concernsCommunicate effectively during shift handoffs with oncoming and outgoing staffFollow resident care plans and maintain a safe, respectful living environmentPerform housekeeping duties, including cleaning resident rooms and common areasGreet visitors, answer phone calls, and assist with tours as neededMaintain resident confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA guidelinesWhat You BringQualificationsMust be at least 18 years of ageHigh school diploma or equivalentActive Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification requiredSkills & AbilitiesCompassionate, resident-focused approach to careAbility to work collaboratively as part of an interdisciplinary teamStrong communication and observation skillsDependability, professionalism, and attention to detailPhysical DemandsLift up to 25 lbs. and assist with resident transfers as neededPush, pull, and maneuver up to 100 lbs., including resident mobility assistanceManeuver resident wheelchairs weighing up to 350 lbs.Safety RequirementsFollow proper resident care procedures, including two-person lifts when requiredUtilize required PPE to prevent exposure to bloodborne pathogensReport work-related injuries within 12 hours and complete required documentationParticipate in company drug testing proceduresWork EnvironmentThis role is performed in an indoor healthcare environment with appropriate lighting and ventilation.
