CNC Programmer

*Job Overview* We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented CNC Programmer to join our manufacturing team. In this role, you will be responsible for developing, optimizing, and maintaining CNC machine programs to produce precision components efficiently and accurately. If you thrive in a dynamic environment where precision and technical mastery are valued, this is the perfect role for you! *Responsibilities* * Develop and write CNC programs using CAM software for various machines such as CNC milling machines, CNC lathes, and 5-axis CNC machines, ensuring optimal machining strategies. * Interpret mechanical blueprints, schematics, and engineering drawings to determine machining requirements and tooling specifications. * Set up CNC machining tools and fixtures accurately, including tool selection, calibration, and alignment using measurement tools like bore gauges, calipers, micrometers, and coordinate measuring machines (CMM). * Operate CNC machinery safely while adhering to all safety protocols; monitor machine performance during production runs to ensure quality standards are met. * Conduct precision measurements and quality control inspections using measurement instruments to verify dimensions against GD&T specifications. * Optimize machining processes by applying lean manufacturing principles to reduce waste and improve efficiency. * Maintain detailed documentation of programs, tooling setups, machine adjustments, and inspection results for traceability and continuous improvement. *Experience* * Proven experience programming CNC machines such as CNC milling machines, CNC lathes, or 5-axis CNC equipment in a manufacturing environment. * Strong proficiency with Mastercam and extensive knowledge of Mastercam for generating precise toolpaths and machining strategies. * Familiarity with blueprint reading, schematic interpretation, and mechanical blueprint analysis is essential. * Mechanical knowledge combined with understanding of machining tools, tooling setups, geometry calculations, and metalworking processes. * Ability to interpret engineering schematics and schematics related to electrical discharge machining (EDM) processes is a plus. * Knowledge of lean manufacturing techniques to streamline operations while maintaining high-quality standards. * Strong math skills related to measurement precision in machining operations; experience with measurement instruments such as bore gauges, micrometers, calipers, bore gauges, and coordinate measuring machines (CMM).
