We value our professional and caring employees who are dedicated to improving people's lives and we want YOU to join our team!What you will be doing: Directly supervises, dorm coordinators, and recreation supervisor. Responsible for the management of campus security, recreation, and residential living, which includes a safe and homelike atmosphere, dormitory management and maintenance, social skills training, dorm culture, student dorm government and peer court systems, in compliance with government and management directives.Essential Functions:Plan, coordinate and manage the administrative and programmatic activities of the residential living and recreation departmentProvide staff training, evaluate staff performance and implement department and personnel changes as approved by center director and coordinated with the manager, human resources prior to implementationDevelop and implement new and revised policies and procedures affecting residential living and recreation; coordinate with other departments to promote center objectivesRegularly assess and audit department for contractual compliance and quality of services to students; prepare audit and assessment reportsPromote interaction between staff and studentsEstablish, implement and supervise student management procedures to maximize student living standards, coordinate student participationProvide staff training, both group and individual, in supervision skills, Career Success Standards (CSS), communication and staff and student interactionDevelop and monitor shift schedules for round the clock dormitory coverage; control documentation and maintenance of recordsCoordinate with other center staff concerning safety and security mattersCoordinate searches of students rooms and belongings. Ensure proper protocols are followedRegularly inspect facility; maintain quality standardsInspect dormitories weekly; maintain required quality standards; coordinate with facility maintenance to resolve facility issuesProvide support and guidance to staff in dealing with behavior of students and resolving individual or group situationsEnsure records for the shift and dormitories are maintained up to date. Monitor timeliness and quality of student case note entries in CISOversee operation of all recreational facilities and programsProvide positive, quality customer services to students, staff and other center customersParticipate in student employability programs and activitiesSupport, promote, and enforce the Job Corps' Zero Tolerance PolicyPromote the development of Career Success Standards by modeling appropriate behaviors, mentoring students where necessary and monitoring both positive and negative behaviors through interventionsMaintain accountability of staff, students and property; adhere to safety practices.EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:Post secondary degree and four years experience working with youth and young adultsTwo of which must be in a supervisory capacity, dormitory and security operational experience desiredExcellent written and verbal communications skills and computer proficiency requiredValid driver's license with an acceptable driving record.Management & Training Corporation (MTC) is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
