Process Engineer
Your JobAs a Process Engineer, you will support new and existing manufacturing processes that are essential to the growth and success of Molex. This role is primarily focused on screen printing of functional materials utilizing roll‐to‐roll (R2R) and sheet‐based manufacturing, while also contributing across other manufacturing areas as needed.You will work independently and cross‐functionally to develop new processes, improve existing ones, troubleshoot equipment and process issues, and help maintain a safe, compliant manufacturing environment. This role is well‐suited for someone with a growth mindset who is motivated to continuously improve, learn new skills, and self‐actualize.Our TeamThe Process Development Engineer reports to the Manufacturing Integration Engineering (MIE) Manager, and is embedded in the MIE team. They will engage in regular collaboration with a diverse team including business development managers, applications engineers, design engineers, process engineers, and automation teams. Work is split between office and production floor settings. Occasional travel may be required for process transfer activities or coordination with external partners.What You Will DoDesign and implement manufacturing processes to support new product development, including material selection and evaluationEnhance manufacturing capabilities to maintain a competitive advantageSupport and optimize existing manufacturing processes through troubleshooting, upgrades, and continuous improvementInvestigate, evaluate, and recommend acquisition of new manufacturing equipmentPerform root cause analysis, implement corrective actions, and document manufacturing quality issuesDevelop and maintain process documentation, work instructions, and control plansCollaborate with technicians and operators to support equipment setup and provide trainingConduct process validation and equipment qualificationCollect manufacturing data and perform production yield and process performance analysisFacilitate prototyping and experimentation while analyzing key process dataSupport Six Sigma, ISO, and Environmental, Health & Safety (EH&S) management systems by following established policies and proceduresWho You Are (Basic Qualifications)Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Manufacturing, Mechanical, Chemical, Materials, or related field)Three (3) years or more experience in a manufacturing or process engineering roleExperience supporting production equipment and manufacturing processesExperience with roll‐to‐roll or sheet‐based material processingExperience owning a process or product as part of regular job responsibilitiesExperience implementing new manufacturing methods, including training others on executionU.S. citizenship or permanent resident statusWhat Will Put You AheadExperience in electronics manufacturing, printed circuits, or roll‐to‐roll manufacturingExperience with material converting and/or product assemblyExperience writing technical reports related to root cause analysis, process qualification, or validationExperience measuring and analyzing process outputs to evaluate effectivenessExperience with data analysis toolsExperience performing RCAs, FMEAs, or similar structured problem‐solving methodologiesAdvanced coursework or hands‐on experience related to printing, materials, or manufacturing processesFor this role, we anticipate paying $90,000 - $120,000 per year.
