Some of the duties listed above are modified below, given our unique seasonal nature and staffing structure:Job Requirements And ResponsibilitiesAbility to relocate to remote to Wilderness Ranch basecamp for May – August every yearTraining interns, guides, summer staff on all things maintenance and site & facilities relatedIncludes some administrative work listed above as wellSupervise staff whom the site and facilities superintendent or camp manager may assigned to you, both summer and winter.This includes full and part-time camping staff, in addition to maintenance summer staff, work crew, volunteers and other people who may be assisting with a maintenance or project function on the property.Work closely with the site and facilities superintendent or camp manager, guest services coordinator and assigned other staff on all matters involving use of the property for the program and in making the work experience a positive time of personal growth for the individuals that have volunteered their time at the property.Maintain operating records as required by the site and facilities superintendent or camp manager.Demonstrate a desire to grow through engagement in the Individual Development Plan process and participation in training and development opportunities.Experience in electrical, plumbing, framing, waste water or HVAC desiredTraining:Pace Calls that align with the employee’s IDP goalsCertification(s) in electrical, plumbing, framing, waste water or HVAC desiredAbility and willingness to obtain certifications.Experience Required For The Job:Strong proficiency in 2-3 trades, ability to teach/lead other staff in those tradesAbility to organize and supervise people and tasksGeneral knowledge of multiple plant systemsPositive, flexible attitude and willingness to learnPhysically able to do the workNotesYoung Life is a relational ministry. All staff members are expected to represent Young Life positively and professionally within the community and be able to work with and minister to the volunteer high school and college-age young people who attend our camp.
