About the Job:Kickstart your career in electoral politics today!-- Washington, DCMoCo Community Outreach is hiring Canvassers in Montgomery County, MD to canvass door-to-door. No experience is necessary– Full training is provided! We are looking for outgoing individuals, passionate about electoral politics and voting. What We Offer: $20/hour payOpportunities for excellent canvassers to be brought onto other projects that come to the DC area.Entry-level experience working in community outreach and electoral politics to prepare for future careers in the political, nonprofit, and electoral realm.Opportunities for recommendation letters and resume references in the instance of exemplary canvass work. Schedule: Office is open 7 days per week2pm-7pm on weekdays and 1pm-6pm on weekends– Flexible daysProject continues until June 16th What You Will Do: Canvass door-to-door in DC residential neighborhoods.Engage in meaningful conversation with DC residents regarding community outreach, local elections, and the needs of the community.Work in your community while developing communication skills and a better understanding of community outreach and local elections. Requirements: 18 years of age or older.Smartphone needed.Outgoing and comfortable engaging with community members.Comfortable with door-to-door work and outdoor activity.Authorized to work in the US.
