Job Overview: We are seeking a skilled and customer-oriented Phone Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will provide technical support and troubleshooting assistance for fitness equipment over the phone. This role involves diagnosing issues, guiding customers through repair processes, and ensuring customer satisfaction with each interaction. Key Responsibilities: Customer Support: - Answer incoming calls from customers needing assistance with their fitness equipment. - Provide clear and concise instructions for troubleshooting and repairing various fitness machines. - Maintain a professional and empathetic demeanor while addressing customer concerns. Technical Assistance: - Diagnose technical issues based on customer descriptions and guide them through the necessary steps to resolve problems. - Assist customers in understanding product features and proper usage to prevent future issues. - Escalate complex technical problems to higher-level support or field technicians as needed. Documentation: - Keep detailed records of customer interactions, including issues reported, steps taken, and resolutions achieved. - Create and update troubleshooting guides and FAQs based on common issues and solutions. Product Knowledge: - Stay updated on the latest fitness equipment models, features, and common issues. - Participate in training sessions to enhance product knowledge and troubleshooting skills. Required Skills and Qualifications: Technical Skills: - Basic understanding of fitness equipment and its components. - Ability to diagnose technical problems and provide step-by-step guidance for repairs. Communication Skills: - Excellent verbal communication skills with the ability to explain technical concepts in simple terms. - Strong listening skills to accurately understand customer issues. Customer Service Skills: - Patience and empathy in handling customer inquiries and complaints. - Ability to maintain a positive attitude and provide exceptional customer service. Organizational Skills: - Ability to manage multiple customer interactions simultaneously. - Strong attention to detail in documenting customer issues and solutions. Preferred Qualifications: - Experience in a technical support or customer service role, preferably in the fitness equipment industry. - Familiarity with various fitness equipment brands and models. - Technical certifications related to fitness equipment repair. Working Conditions: - Primarily phone-based with occasional remote diagnostics. - May require flexible working hours to accommodate customer needs.
