Job detailsDistribution Dock LeadPuyallup, WA$28.00/hourFull-Time | Monday-FridayAbout the RoleWe are seeking a hands-on Distribution Dock Lead to provide frontline leadership and daily operational support within a fast-paced warehouse and distribution environment. This role is responsible for leading warehouse associates across unloading, loading, picking, putaway, storage, and dock operations while ensuring safety, productivity, accuracy, and operational efficiency.The ideal candidate will have prior warehouse distribution experience along with lead or supervisory experience in a high-volume environment. This position will also support the Distribution Operations Manager and assist with leadership responsibilities as needed.Key ResponsibilitiesLead day-to-day warehouse and dock operations including unloading, loading, picking, putaway, and storage activitiesAssign work to distribution associates and monitor productivity and workflow efficiencySupport the Distribution Operations Manager in achieving SQDC (Safety, Quality, Delivery, Cost) targetsContinuously monitor trailer and product flow to ensure efficient operationsDefine operational priorities and develop solutions during bottlenecks or workflow disruptionsTrain and support warehouse associates on operational procedures and safety practicesEnsure compliance with workplace safety standards and warehouse operating proceduresDrive continuous improvement initiatives using Lean principles and support facility 5S programsAssist with maintaining facility leadership boards and operational tracking activitiesSupport operational leadership coverage when the Operations Manager is unavailableMaintain accurate and organized workflow while supporting overall distribution efficiencyFollow all company compliance, confidentiality, and internal control proceduresQualificationsHigh school diploma or equivalent requiredMinimum 3 years of warehouse or distribution experience preferredMinimum 1 year of lead or supervisory experience requiredStrong leadership, communication, and team coordination skillsAbility to prioritize tasks, solve problems, and make operational decisions in a fast-paced environmentStrong organizational skills and ability to multitask effectivelyExperience supporting warehouse productivity, safety, and operational efficiency initiativesAbility to work flexible hours based on business needsPhysical RequirementsAbility to perform extremely heavy lifting throughout the shift up to 100 lbsAbility to work inside trailers and on warehouse dock floors for extended periodsAbility to work in a physically demanding warehouse environment throughout the shiftPreferred ExperienceWarehouse distribution center operationsDock operations and trailer flow coordinationLean manufacturing or continuous improvement initiatives5S implementation and warehouse organization practicesLeadership experience in fast-paced warehouse environments#CB #P1 #P2
