Summary: As a CNC Machinist III, you will operate and maintain CNC machinery to produce precision parts and components according to technical specifications. Your responsibilities include setting up machines, performing routine maintenance, and ensuring quality control through detailed inspections. You will collaborate with engineering teams to optimize production processes and troubleshoot issues, contributing to efficient and high-quality manufacturing operations.Responsibilities:All Additional Job Responsibilities and Qualifications of a Machinist I & IIProficient programming, setup and operation of ALL CNC Turning and Milling equipment and toolingMonitor setups and operations of machining activities performed by CNC Machinist I & IIProficient knowledge, use and calibration of any measuring deviceRead and interpret extensive machine code (G, S, and M) and correct any discrepancies foundProgram and machine threads of any caliber on Lathes and Mills (Tapered, single and multiple leads)Fabricate fixtures, jigs and linkage piecesAbility to fabricate tools as neededAbility to problem solve issues with the machining equipmentSupport CNC Machinist I and CNC Machinist II through mentoring and / or on the job trainingPerform final quality inspection on all machined and fabricated piecesMay act in a leadership role for assigned areasPositional Requirements & Qualifications:Education & ExperienceHigh School Diploma or GED Equivalent a plus5 or more years industry experience as a MachinistSkills & AbilitiesMinimum of 5 years as a qualified Machinist experienceExperienced trainer of Level I & II CNC MachinistsAbility to read and understand technical drawings.Understanding shop math and managing costsBasic OSHA and TWIC card (TWIC , only if required)Ability to manage multiple tasksAbility to manage peopleExcellent oral and written communication skills with customers and customer representativesDemonstrates "can do" attitude and excellent customer service skillsSupervision:Works mostly autonomously and little supervisionMust be able to travel and have a clear driving record in accordance to company driving guidelinesClear background check and drug/alcohol screeningEssential Physical Functions:Lifting: up to 50 poundsAdjusting or moving objects up to 50 pounds in all directionsLift and carry: 50 pounds for 100 feetBending, stooping, walking and climbing stairsAble to pass periodic medical evaluations and respirator fit tests to ensure continued compliance with OSHA standards.Ascending or descending ladders, stairs, scaffolding, rampsMoving self in different positions to accomplish tasks in various environments including tight and confined spacesRemaining in a stationary position, often standing or sitting for prolonged periodsMoving about to accomplish tasks or moving from one worksite to anotherCommunicating with others to exchange informationRepeating motions that may include the wrists, hands and/or fingersOperating machinery and/or power toolsOperating motor vehicles or heavy equipmentAssessing the accuracy, neatness, and thoroughness of the work assignedRequired physical ability if mandated by customer or regulatory requirements
