We are looking for a supervisor to join our team, where you will be responsible for ensuring the proper preparation and sanitation of equipment used in the housing and care of animals within CMC, as well as performing preventive maintenance.Position HighlightsOversight of cage processing, equipment, and support areas and staff. The Ideal CandidateHas experience managing teams. Understands research protocols, basic research animal care and colony management. Has the ability to lift up-to 75 pounds.Able to make decisions effectively and accurately in a fast-paced or changing environment.Able to be flexible to meet changing customer needs with minimal disruption and loss ofproductivity.Communicates clearly, effectively, and respectfully.Must be willing to work and contribute effectively to a team setting.Knowledge of cage wash equipment including tunnel washers, rack washers and autoclavesResponsibilities Provides oversight of assigned staff.Implements maintenance program for cage wash equipment and assists with minor repairs to maintain facility upkeep. This may include minor repairs to caging, cage wash equipment, and other animal-related equipment. Assist in creating and implementing standard operating procedures and training material. Reviews all record keeping ensuring processes are being followed; addresses issues with machines.Assists with new-hire training and re-training as needed.
