OverviewBe part of the nation’s only repository for the disposal of nuclear waste known as Transuranic (TRU) waste.Salado Isolation Mining Contractors, LLC (SIMCO), managing and operating contractor of the Waste Isolation Pilot Plant (WIPP) is currently seeking a qualified individual to serve as an Application Developer/System Analyst and join our team located in Carlsbad, New Mexico.ResponsibilitiesSIMCO is currently seeking an Application Developer/System Analysist to provide support to the Department of Energy’s Waste Isolation Pilot Plant (WIPP) contract located in Carlsbad, New Mexico. This role will be on the Application Development team and will be working closely with project stakeholders, Business Analysts, Quality Assurance, and other contractors & vendors to support development of custom software solutions and implementation and management of Custom Off the Shelf (COTS) solutions.Work with business analysts and stakeholders to gather application requirementsInstall, deploy, update, and support new and existing software systemsPerform vulnerability and patch management for responsible software applicationsMaintain relevant documentation and Enterprise Architecture software inventory documentationPerform software quality assurance processes and proceduresDesign and Develop software to meet project requirements as assignedMinimum RequirementsThese requirements must be met to be considered for this posting.
