Field Territory Executive - Restaurants & Retail Growth
Territory Account ExecutiveSquare is looking for a Territory Account Executive to join our newly established field sales organization. This individual contributor sales role will work with restaurants, retailers and service-based businesses in our largest and highest potential markets, driving local engagement and selling Square's full ecosystem.ResponsibilitiesSell into your market in-person, performing discovery and demos 80% of the time to source leads, generate interest, and close deals.Know the active Square sellers within your community, keeping a pulse on their account health and generating referrals.Engage and partner with onboarding teams to ensure successful implementation for sellers.Build a sustainable top-of-funnel pipeline through tactics such as walking the city, performing 50-60 drop-ins a week, creating a referral channel with active sellers, and partnering with local community associations.Demonstrate mastery of demo and onboarding for Square hardware and software solutions.Collaborate with the channel sales team to identify complementary partners for referrals.Cultivate a deep understanding of the business and technology needs of restaurants, retail, and services markets.Achieve and exceed monthly sales goals and key performance indicators (KPIs).Utilize Salesforce to track, monitor, and report on sales activities, pipeline status, and outcomes.Qualifications3+ years of full-cycle closing sales experience with field sales.Experience exceeding sales targets, selling a diverse ecosystem of products, and closing complex deals.Ability to drive deals independently in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.Business development experience (e.g., hunting and cold calling).Reliable transportation and residence in the city you will serve.A collaborative, team-player mentality.Prior Salesforce experience or equivalent.Even better:2+ years of experience in payment processing or related technology (payroll, loyalty, time management).1+ year's relevant audience experience, especially selling to restaurants, retailers, or service-based businesses.Pay TransparencyBlock takes a market-based approach to pay. U.S. locations are categorized into zones based on local labor costs. The starting pay is determined by skills, experience, qualifications, work location, and market conditions.
