Apartment Maintenance Technician

If you love maintenance work but feel like you never get a weekend off, are always on-call and are constantly interrupted by phone calls …then we have the job you’re looking for! Lexington Management has an immediate opening for a Maintenance Tech who provides repairs for resident work orders, preventative maintenance, and building/grounds upkeep. Additionally, this candidate will help coordinate work orders with contractors and vendors. Offering a company-maintained vehicle, work phone and all gear/tools provided. Best of all, wouldn’t you love to be on call on an every four/fifth-week rotation (when fully staffed). You will then receive the proceeding Friday off for a 3-day weekend! About the role: Be a part of a rotating on-call schedule approx. 1x month and get the following Friday-Sunday off! Electrical: replace or fix outlets, light switches, and fixtures Plumbing: replace or fix faucets, toilets, and sinks Heating and Cooling: general heating repairs, cleaning filters and swapping units General carpentry and drywall Painting hallways/units Repair/replace screens Monitor interiors/exteriors of buildings for maintenance needed Maintain tools and equipment in acceptable working condition and work area clean Troubleshoot, repair, or replace appliances Communicate with the manager on daily work orders and provide status updates Perform unit turnovers Our preferred candidate will have: 1-3 years’ experience in a maintenance role The ability to effectively utilize smart phones and related technology Solid oral & written communication skills The ability to manage and prioritize workload Knowledge of electrical, plumbing, appliances, HVAC, construction, carpentry, painting, vendors, parts, and services is a must have Interpersonal skills to interact professionally, clearly, and respectfully with residents and team Must be able to work independently with minimum supervision Physically able to perform job duties with or without accommodation Lexington Management is a multi-family property management company, and we are proud of our vibrant, inclusive, make it happen culture that is dedicated to the continuous growth and development of our teams.
