Primary PurposeThe District Instructional Coach supports campus and district instructional excellence by partnering with principals and teachers to improve teaching and learning outcomes. The Instructional Coach co-facilitates collaborative planning, supports the implementation of high-quality instructional materials (HQIM), provides job-embedded coaching and professional development, analyzes student achievement data, and works collaboratively with campus leadership to strengthen instructional practices and student achievement across the district. This is 3 year grant funded position.Pay ScaleExempt, Based upon teacher step + $8,000 stipend, 207 Day Work CalendarQualificationsEducation/CertificationBachelor's degree from an accredited college or university requiredMaster's degree preferredValid Texas Teaching Certificate requiredExperience* Minimum of five (5) years of successful classroom teaching experience required* Experience in instructional coaching, curriculum leadership, PLC facilitation, or campus leadership preferredMajor Responsibilities and DutiesInstructional Coaching and Teacher SupportCo-facilitate collaborative planning with teacher teams, including unit and lesson internalization aligned to district curriculum and student learning goalsSupport teachers in implementing effective, research-based instructional strategies and best practicesObserve classroom instruction and provide timely, actionable feedback that promotes teacher reflection, growth, and continuous improvementConduct structured coaching cycles that include goal setting, observation, feedback, modeling, and reflectionModel effective instructional practices and lessons for teachers and teamsAssist teachers in differentiating instruction to meet diverse student needsSupport teachers in understanding and internalizing high-quality instructional materials (HQIM)Provide targeted support and mentoring for new teachersProfessional Learning and PLC SupportDesign and deliver targeted professional development aligned to district instructional priorities and campus needsAssist principals in facilitating Professional Learning Communities (PLCs) that provide meaningful opportunities for collaboration, lesson internalization, and instructional planningCollaborate with campus and district leadership to foster a culture of continuous professional learning and instructional excellenceData Analysis and Student SupportProactively monitor and analyze student achievement data to identify trends, strengths, and areas for improvementUse data findings to make recommendations regarding campus goals, instructional responses, and intervention strategiesAssist principals and teachers in identifying students in need of targeted academic supportCollaborate with campus teams to determine student groupings, intervention schedules, and responsive instructional actionsMonitor the alignment of instruction and assessment to district curriculum, standards, and intended student outcomesCollaboration and LeadershipBuild collaborative relationships with teachers, principals, and district leaders to support instructional improvement effortsParticipate in district curriculum initiatives, instructional planning, and continuous improvement effortsMaintain confidentiality regarding student and personnel informationPerform other job-related duties as assigned by the Director of Curriculum and Instruction and SuperintendentKnowledge, Skills, and AbilitiesStrong knowledge of curriculum design, instructional best practices, assessment, and data-driven instructionKnowledge of effective coaching practices and adult learning theoryAbility to facilitate collaborative planning and professional learningStrong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skillsAbility to analyze data and develop actionable instructional recommendationsAbility to build trust and maintain positive working relationships with staffProficiency in instructional technology and data analysis toolsWorking ConditionsMental Demands/Physical Demands/Environmental FactorsMaintain emotional control under stressFrequent district and campus travel may be requiredProlonged sitting, standing, walking, and computer useOccasional lifting and carrying of instructional materials and equipment
