TMA United Way of Central Shenandoah Valley VISTA Project
The United Way of Central Shenandoah Valley (UWCSV) is a local organization focused on the unique and specific challenges of the Central Shenandoah Valley and working to improve lives by connecting and mobilizing resources. This VISTA project focuses on individuals and households who are living in very low economic circumstances despite being employed -- known as Asset Limited, Income Constrained, Employed ("ALICE") conditions. The aim of the program is to strengthen the Shenandoah Valley's capacity to address poverty by translating ALICE data into coordinated regional action.Further help on this page can be found by clicking here .Member Duties : The VISTA member will build capacity for the Systems Stewardship Initiative of the UWCSV by conducting research, community needs and resource mapping, partnership development, and community engagement activities.
