This position offers an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful impact in the lives of diverse patients while working within a collaborative and innovative environment.ResponsibilitiesConduct thorough patient assessments, including hearing evaluations and physiology-based testing to determine hearing needs.Assist patients in selecting appropriate hearing aids, ensuring optimal fit and comfort based on individual anatomy and lifestyle requirements.Educate patients on device operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting to maximize hearing aid performance.Collaborate with healthcare providers to interpret medical terminology, ICD coding, and patient medical histories for accurate diagnosis and treatment planning.Manage patient intake processes efficiently, documenting findings accurately and maintaining detailed records of each consultation.Perform pediatrics-specific evaluations when necessary, tailoring approaches for children with unique hearing development needs.Stay current with advancements in occupational health standards related to audiology and hearing health practices.QualificationsProven knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and occupational health principles related to hearing and ear health.Experience in patient service roles within audiology or related healthcare fields.Strong understanding of medical terminology, ICD coding, and patient assessment techniques.Familiarity with intake procedures, documentation protocols, and electronic health record systems.Ability to communicate complex technical information clearly to patients of all ages, including pediatrics.Knowledge of physiology relevant to hearing aid fitting and adjustment processes.Prior experience working with pediatric populations is a plus.
