Detailed Job Description Transmission & Grid Modeling Manager – Energy TeamWe are currently representing one of the Nations largest Real Estate Developers who are currently scaling a 6GW Hyperscale Data Center portfolio and are actively building out one of the most experienced teams in the industry to continue their success in this sector. This position will work closely with Site Selection, Engineering and the Energy team as a whole.• Oversee all utility transmission studies, load interconnection analyses, and contingency planning for site capacity.• Works closely with utilities and consultants to secure firm grid commitments matching project ramp-up needs.• Participate in utility calls & meetings for the discovery, pre-contracting, and post contracting phases.• Main point of contact for technical work on utility service and outside plant electric service for data center projects. Support the Design & Engineering teams for new projects.• Manages digital tools and modeling to support identifying sites that meet volume of power, power delivery timeframes, and location metrics for Site Selection.• Build a “Site Energy Scorecard” to improve outcomes for successful site selection.• Actively support relationships with prospects and customers, providing information on transmission and grid infrastructure and assisting prospects with evaluating electric service at development sites.• Follow regulatory filings, development projects, regional upgrades, and RTO/ISO proceedings for information to improve RD”s ability to identify development sites.Required Experience: 8+ years• Significant experience is needed to interpret complex transmission studies, coordinate with utilities and consultants, and drive grid infrastructure analysis for multi-gigawatt sites. Candidates should have a proven record of grid interconnection projects and technical leadership in large-scale power system planning.Recommended backgrounds:• Senior Transmission Planning or Interconnection Engineer for a utility, grid operator, or major C&I developer• Project Manager, Transmission Studies or Infrastructure Development for large-scale renewables, data centers, or pipeline projects• Lead Grid Modeling Analyst/Engineer at RTO/ISO, engineering consulting firm, or large industrial developer
