Director of InvestmentsHouston, TXDirect Hire$250-350k *Position is mostly onsite with work-life flexibility Kelly is seeking a Director of Investments to work with our client, a rapidly growing mid-size RIA firm, on a direct hire basis. This is a great senior leadership role for a dynamic, results-driven professional who can both vision-cast and execute while overseeing and driving operational and strategic functions. The Director of Investments will:Report to the Chief Investment OfficerBuild, guide, and manage the investment research team (7 direct reports)Supervise and optimize the options overlay programSupervise the equity SMA programOversee asset allocation strategies across client portfoliosProvide strategic input on portfolio construction, risk management, and performance monitoringManage held-away assets integration and oversightServe as a trusted resource for advisors and clients, capable of explaining complex strategies in a clear and approachable wayProduce and contribute to market commentary, providing thought leadership on market trends and firm positioningCollaborate with marketing to produce investment-related materials for client and advisor useManage, mentor, and grow the trading and research teamsPartner with leadership to expand and refine unique, proprietary investment programsDrive innovation in internal systems, reporting, and investment solutions Qualifications:Previous leadership experience managing an investment platform at a mid-sized RIADirect experience working with independent advisorsStrong track record managing asset allocation strategies and investment operationsProven people management experience with ability to build and inspire teamsHands-on experience with:Orion, Black Diamond, or similar portfolio management systemsSchwab or similar custodial platformsMicrosoft Excel (advanced proficiency)Familiarity with Bloomberg or FactSet (not required but highly advantageous)Demonstrated ability to balance strategic vision with operational executionAn entrepreneurial, growth-minded leader with strong drive and initiativeExceptional communicator with the ability to instill confidence in advisors, clients, and internal teamsBrings a proven history of scaling investment programs and building operational excellenceBenefits:Profit Sharing Bonus Program401(k) Employer Match up to 4%Medical Insurance (HDHP HSA plans are 100% paid for the employee)Dental InsuranceVision InsurancePaid time Off (112 hours after 90 days)Holiday Pay (12 Holidays)Training & EducationEvents, Awards, ActivitiesAnd more!Interviews are happening now!
