Forward Deployed Engineer (Solutions Engineer) | Hybrid | San Francisco / New York Berkley Hunt is partnering with a well-funded, later-stage developer platform building products that help companies evaluate and hire engineers based on real technical ability, not pedigree. This is a space that’s evolving quickly. As AI becomes more embedded in how software is built, the way companies assess engineering talent is changing. This team is building the infrastructure to support that shift, working with a large global customer base. This role sits at the intersection of engineering, product, and customer. You’ll work directly with customers, acting as the technical bridge during implementation and helping drive adoption in real-world environments. What You’ll Do Work directly with customers onsite, leading discovery, pilots, and technical engagements Act as the primary technical point of contact across implementations Partner with engineers, recruiters, and business stakeholders to understand requirements and design solutions Build, configure, and debug integrations, APIs, and workflows Keep projects on track through strong execution and clear communication Collaborate with product and engineering to bring customer feedback into the roadmap What We’re Looking For Strong engineering background (full stack or backend) Experience in a customer-facing role (forward deployed, solutions, or similar) Ability to work across technical and non-technical stakeholders Comfortable working with APIs, integrations, and debugging systems High ownership and strong execution Bonus Experience with developer tools, HR tech, or API-first platforms Experience working with enterprise customers Experience delivering projects end-to-end Benefits Salary: $180,000 - $220,000k (DOE).
