WHAT YOU'LL DO
Provide strategic leadership and development for a team of buyers and planners, driving excellence in daily operations while advancing long-term process optimization and performance improvements
Own MRP planning activities, including order management, reschedules, and exception handling
Maintain and improve key planning parameters (lead times, safety stock, lot sizes)
Reduce stockouts, excess inventory, and expediting through better planning discipline
Develop and execute sourcing strategies to drive cost savings and supplier performance
Negotiate pricing, lead times, MOQs, and payment terms
Manage supplier relationships and performance (OTD, quality, responsiveness)
Partner with operations, engineering, and finance to align supply with business needs
Identify risks, solve problems quickly, and implement long-term fixesnot just firefighting
WHAT YOU'LL BRING
58+ years in manufacturing, purchasing, planning, or supply chain
Strong experience with ERP/MRP systems (SAP, Epicor, Oracle, etc.)
Solid understanding of inventory planning (min/max, reorder points, service levels)
Proven ability to negotiate and drive cost savings
Experience improving inventory performance and supply reliability
Strong analytical skills (Excel proficiency required)
Ability to communicate clearly and work cross-functionally
