Convention Stage Crew Volunteers
DescriptionJOB SUMMARY: The National FFA Organization is seeking qualified volunteers to serve on the Backstage Stage Crew at the National FFA Convention & Expo, held at the National FFA Center in Indianapolis, IN.All crew members will perform a variety of tasks throughout convention setup, production, and teardown. Specific crew duties will be assigned on-site by National FFA Staff and the Backstage Manager.RequirementsPHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:Applicants must be able to:Stand and remain on their feet for extended periodsMove freely throughout the stadiumCarry loads of up to 50 poundsWork effectively in a fast-paced, high-pressure environmentResponsibilitiesResponsibilities include, but are not limited to:Creating and preparing props, supplies, and materialsSetting up and preparing award tables before each sessionMarking and managing reserved seating for all sessionsEscorting award recipients backstageLining up and preparing award recipients and special guestsAssisting with load-in and load-outPreparing materials for pre-sessionAttendance RequirementsSelected volunteers must arrive in Indianapolis the Sunday before the convention begins and depart no earlier than the Sunday after the convention concludes.Convention Dates: October 18 – October 25, 2026Compensation & BenefitsThis is a volunteer (unpaid) position. A small honorarium is provided at the conclusion of the event. Meals, lodging, and convention access details will be provided to selected applicants upon confirmation of their placement.Pre-employment RequirementsBackground Check: All staff, including new, current, and returning facilitators, are required to complete a background check as part of our commitment to safety and well-being.Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) Check: Employees who may drive as part of their job duties must complete a Motor Vehicle Record check to verify a valid driver’s license and review driving history for safety and compliance purposes.
