*****CONTRACT ROLE**********CONTRACT ROLE**********CONTRACT ROLE*****Role : Mainframe z/OS System ProgrammerLocation : Plano, TXJob DescriptionKey ResponsibilitiesDesign, develop, enhance, and maintain applications on IBM z/OS.Develop and maintain COBOL programs and batch applications.Create and troubleshoot JCL jobs, procedures, and production schedules.Develop and optimize DB2 SQL queries, stored procedures, and database processes.Support CICS online transaction-processing applications.Perform application debugging, root-cause analysis, and production issue resolution.Analyze business and technical requirements and translate them into technical solutions.Perform unit testing, integration testing, and code reviews.Work with scheduling, operations, database, and infrastructure teams for production deployments.Monitor application performance and identify opportunities for optimization.Prepare technical documentation and support application releases.Participate in on-call/production support activities as required. Preferred Skills Experience with IMS, VSAM, MQ, or DB2 stored procedures.Knowledge of Endevor, Changeman, or other mainframe source-control tools.Experience with Control-M or other enterprise scheduling tools.Exposure to Git, CI/CD, or DevOps practices for mainframe environments.Experience working in large enterprise environments such as banking, insurance, healthcare, or retail.Note : If you are interested please share me your resumes to Dhamu@vmcsofttech.com or else reach me at 4804076920
