Assistant Teacher (Infant Room)

Assistant Infant TeacherHometown Health Center Childcare ProgramHometown Health Center is seeking a caring and dependable Assistant Infant Teacher to support the Lead Teacher in creating a safe, nurturing, and developmentally appropriate environment for infants. This role works collaboratively with the Lead Teacher to meet the daily care needs of infants while maintaining a calm, professional classroom environment.Key Responsibilities:Assist with implementing age-appropriate curriculum and daily routines for infantsMaintain a safe, clean, and nurturing classroom environmentAnticipate and respond to infants' individual needs with care and attentivenessCommunicate clearly and professionally with the Lead TeacherBuild positive relationships with children, families, and team membersEnsure compliance with licensing, health, and safety regulationsParticipate in required trainings, meetings, and DHHS requirementsQualifications:Must be at least 18 years oldHigh school diploma or equivalent required (or currently enrolled)CPR/First Aid Certification or willingness to obtainMust pass DHHS background checksRegistered with Maine Roads to Quality or willing to become registeredPreferred:Associate or Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education or related field
