Operations Analyst

Numerai is a quantitative global equity market neutral hedge fund that crowdsources predictions from a network of machine learning experts from around the world. Numerai is seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Operations Analyst to join our team. This role is ideal for someone looking to dive deep into both operational processes accounting and trading domains. The successful candidate will support our daily trading operations and our accounting teams. Responsibilities: Trade Operations: Support trade operations by overseeing relationship with OMS, running tri-party reconciliations, and processing corporate actions across multiple product types, ensuring seamless execution of daily trading activities Accounting: Manage daily cash, position, and corporate action reconciliation with fund administrators and prime brokers, as well as aid in month-end NAV sign off process, annual audited financial statements and tax preparations for funds Trading: Act as the trading team backup which includes allocating instructions to executing brokers and prime brokers while analyzing and addressing trade breaks Operational Efficiency: Drive improvements in operational processes across the firm, including optimizing trading workflows, reducing operational risks, and ensuring compliance with trading guidelines. Serve as a liaison with prime brokers and ensure margin requirements are met Cross-Functional Collaboration: Collaborate with teams across the firm, including data science, engineering, and compliance, to align and support trading operations Qualifications/Experience: 3 to 5 years of experience in investment operations, fund accounting, or a related industryExperience working with traders, prime brokers, and trade reconciliation processesUnderstanding of accounting principles as well as basic knowledge of financial instruments including equities, derivatives, and private investments Must have experience with equity corporate actions and symbology Highly detail-oriented with the ability to multitask and manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration across teams and with external partner Strong proficiency in technology and software tools, Bloomberg (BQL), Enfusion/Eze OMS, or similar trading and operational systems Analytical mindset with the ability to troubleshoot operational issues, identify process improvements, and ensure trading and operational efficiency
