Engineering Technician - 3rd Shift (Austin)

Engineering TechnicianPosition Type: Direct HirePosition Location: Austin, TXPosition Salary: $25/HR – $35/HR (Depending on Experience) + DifferentialPosition Shift: 3rd Shift, 11:00pm-7:15am (Sunday-Thursday)Responsibilities:Collaborate with engineering teams, contribute to documentation, and monitor equipment productivity while adhering to safety guidelinesTroubleshoots and repairs complex mechanical and electrical assemblies used in equipment at the component levelInstalling and configuring infrastructure including servers, racks, switches and other hardware including liquid cooling, powerProvides technical assistance and guidance to other technical personnelThis position requires advanced technical skills and the ability to provide guidance and training to other technical personnelCollaborates with engineering on functionality issues and procedure updatesPresents training, when necessary, to the new build and service assembler teamsContributes to the development of work instructions, batch records, equipment logs, material specifications and other device history documentsHelps monitor productivity of our equipment by tracking yields and equipment cycle ratesAssists with the installation, debug and validation of Test equipmentFollows all safety guidelines and reports unsafe conditions to supervisorDevelops and maintains Debug Guide to troubleshoot PCBAProvides training and PCBA debugging guidance to other debug techniciansAssist with the development and delivery of customer presentations and interface with customers.Partner with engineers on outside third-party developmentsOrganize documentation (specifications, schematics, and procedures).Perform tests per customer specifications and requirements.Requirements:Associates degree, military training, equivalent vocational training, or equivalent experience5+ years of related experience in a similar background (performing hands-on debugging, validation, and system-level failure analysis of next-generation server and rack systems within a high-mix, high-ambiguity manufacturing environment)Demonstrated technical skills which may be used to conduct on-the-job training and/or lead/guide other employeesStrong ability to write reports, business correspondence and procedures, present information and respond to questions from managers and customersAbility to define problems, collect data, establish facts and draw valid conclusionsBenefits:Full Benefits (Medical, Dental, Vision)401K + MatchingShift DifferentialOTPTO
