Role Description This is a full-time on-site role located in Carmel, IN, for a School Bus Mechanic. The School Bus Mechanic will be responsible for performing routine maintenance, diagnosing and repairing equipment, and ensuring the fleet of school buses operates safely and efficiently. The mechanic will also inspect vehicles for any malfunctions, monitor performance, and provide recommendations for repairs or improvements. Tasks will require collaboration with team members, maintaining records, and ensuring compliance with safety standards and regulations. Qualifications Knowledge and skills in Equipment Maintenance and Vehicle MaintenanceExperience with Equipment Repair, including Heavy Equipment repairStrong Troubleshooting skills to identify and address mechanical issues effectivelyAbility to work with diagnostic tools and machineryFamiliarity with school bus safety standards and regulations is a plusHigh school diploma or equivalent; additional certifications in automotive or diesel mechanics are preferredPhysical ability to handle tools, equipment, and tasks related to vehicle maintenanceStrong attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and ability to work collaboratively
