Job Announcement CFAA Program Assistant – Salem
Job Description:
The Community for All Ages (CFAA) Program Assistant reports directly to the EngAGE Northwest Executive Director and collaborates with the CFAA Program Director and the leadership team.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
The CFAA Program Assistant is responsible for onsite programming and activities at a CFAA community. Additional duties may include special projects and programs with duties defined on a “per project” basis.
The CFAA Program Assistant:
Works with the CFAA Program Director (PD) and EngAGE team to develop innovative programming in the areas of Wellness, Creativity, Lifelong Learning, Community Building, and Intergenerational Connection to further the experience of creative and healthy aging. Coordinates with CFAA PD to create and advertise monthly program calendars and events Organizes community building events / celebrations / intergenerational programs Facilitates/delivers on site programming to residents Maintains regular communication with property management staff/on-site teams Helps to recruit volunteers, Independent Contractors, entertainers, and partner organizations Coordinates with CFAA PD to manage Program Budget and prepare monthly reports Monitors the progress and success of the classes, workshops, events Helps connect residents with relevant resources and services in the community to support resident stability and wellbeing Attends scheduled meetings Reconciles credit card expenditures
Demonstrated ability to work well with others. Thorough knowledge of programs and projects, experience with affordable housing a plus Considerable initiative and judgment in adapting programs to the needs of the individual resident or group, in securing the cooperation of the residents and personnel. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Adaptable, and able to function well independently in a dynamic work environment Familiarity with computer programs necessary for reporting including Excel and Word Experience working with older adults, with kids, and/or working with low-income residents and individuals with different lived experiences is a plus. Fluent in English (speaking and writing), bilingual is a plus.
Requirements
Current valid Oregon driver’s license, good driving record, comprehensive auto insurance Must be an Oregon resident.
Work Authorization/Security Clearance (if applicable)

Position Title: Community For All Ages Program Assistant
Position Type: Part Time, in person
Weekly Hours: 20 hours per week. Afternoon and weekend hours are required.
Hourly rate: $20-22 per hour DOE
