School Physical Therapist | Penn Yan, New York

Step into a meaningful contract opportunity supporting early childhood development as a Physical Therapist in a school-based setting. This role will focus on providing dedicated services to preschoolers ages 3-5, working with a manageable caseload of 25-30 students. You'll make a significant impact during our 6-week extended school year summer session and continue your contribution through the start of the new academic year, with potential to extend further into the fall. Primary Responsibilities:Assess, plan, and implement individualized physical therapy interventions for preschool-aged studentsUse evidence-based techniques to promote gross motor development, functional mobility, and independenceCollaborate closely with teachers, special education staff, and families to integrate therapy goals into students' educational plansMaintain accurate documentation for evaluations, progress notes, and compliance with state and federal guidelinesConduct ongoing reassessment of therapy plans to ensure optimal outcomes for each childParticipate in IEP meetings and contribute to a supportive, multidisciplinary school environment Desired Qualifications:Valid state licensure as a Physical TherapistExperience or a passion for working with the preschool population within school settingsStrong communication skills with an emphasis on collaboration and team approachAbility to thrive in an onsite, in-person role providing hands-on support to young learnersFlexibility and adaptability to support the evolving needs of early learners This contract role provides you with the chance to positively influence children's lives within a supportive, engaged school community.
