Job Title: Director of Enterprise Data Analytics & GISRole OverviewJoin a mission-driven public sector organization focused on using data to improve how communities operate and make decisions. This leadership role owns the strategy, architecture, and execution of enterprise analytics and geospatial capabilities that help departments operate more efficiently, allocate resources intelligently, and deliver better services to the public.You will shape how data is integrated, governed, and transformed into actionable insight across multiple operational systems, while also overseeing the organization’s GIS program as a critical strategic capability. This is an opportunity to build and scale modern data platforms that influence policy decisions, infrastructure planning, and operational performance across a complex organization.Key ResponsibilitiesLead enterprise data strategy spanning data architecture, engineering, governance, analytics, and business intelligenceOversee the GIS program as a strategic capability supporting planning, infrastructure, public safety, and operational initiativesBuild and manage modern data platforms that integrate information from multiple enterprise systemsDevelop dashboards, reporting tools, and analytical models that support executive decision-makingEstablish enterprise standards for data governance, data quality, metadata management, and responsible data usePartner cross-functionally with leadership and operational teams to identify opportunities to improve service delivery through analytics and spatial insightsLead initiatives that combine financial, asset, permitting, utilities, and operational datasets to drive performance improvementManage and mentor a team delivering enterprise analytics, spatial analysis, and data engineering servicesCollaborate with IT teams on infrastructure, security, and application integration supporting analytics platformsManage vendor relationships supporting analytics, BI, and GIS technologiesPromote organization-wide adoption of analytics tools and data-driven decision-making practicesEducation & QualificationsBachelor’s degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Information Systems, Statistics, GIS, Geography, Public Administration, or related field8+ years of progressive experience in data analytics, business intelligence, data engineering, or related disciplinesExperience leading enterprise-level analytics initiatives or managing technical teamsStrong understanding of enterprise data architecture, data integration, and analytics frameworksExperience communicating technical insights to executive and non-technical stakeholdersAbility to influence cross-functional decision-making through data-driven insightsPreferred ExperienceExperience working with geospatial data or managing GIS programsExperience with enterprise data platforms such as Power BI, Microsoft Fabric, Azure Synapse Analytics, Azure Data Factory, or SQL ServerExperience integrating data across multiple operational systemsExposure to public sector, infrastructure, utilities, public safety, or community development analytics environmentsProfessional certifications related to data analytics, GIS, cloud platforms, or data managementExperience establishing enterprise data governance frameworksWhy UsOpportunity to define and scale enterprise-wide data strategyHigh-visibility leadership role influencing organizational decision-makingAbility to modernize analytics and GIS capabilities across a complex operational environmentMission-driven work with measurable real-world impactCollaborative environment working with senior leadership and cross-functional teamsOpportunity to build and mentor a growing analytics functionBenefits And PerksNot specifiedApplicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis now and in the future.
