We believe in supporting the well-being of pets and the people who care for them.Role DescriptionKey ResponsibilitiesVerify incoming inventory receipts and packing slips against supplier invoices for accuracy in quantity, description, and pricingUpdate item costs in the ERP/inventory system based on verified invoice informationReview, investigate, and report inventory discrepancies between physical counts, receipts, and system recordsPerform weekly cycle counts on designated inventory items and reconcile variances with supporting documentationAdd new products into the inventory system by creating accurate item records, including descriptions, costs, and other required attributesMaintain accurate and up-to-date inventory records through timely data entry and system transactionsCollaborate with receiving, purchasing, and accounting teams to resolve invoice or receipt issuesGenerate reports on inventory accuracy, discrepancies, and cycle count results for management reviewEnsure inventory data integrity to support reliable stock levels and cost trackingAssist with root cause analysis on recurring inventory variances and recommend process improvementsFollow established procedures for handling damaged, short, or over-shipped itemsQualificationsProficiency in Inventory Control and Inventory Management practicesExperience in Shipping & Receiving and Inventory AccuracyAbility to conduct and oversee Physical Inventory activities effectivelyStrong organizational and detail-oriented skills to maintain accurate recordsProficient in inventory management software and toolsStrong problem-solving abilities and the ability to work independentlyHigh school diploma or equivalent required; additional certifications in inventory management are a plusPrior experience in retail or warehouse inventory management is strongly preferred
