This position also orders, receives and stows inventory, logs shipping information, tracks shipments as needed, and responds to shipping and inventory related inquiries from fellow employees.Essential FunctionsPicks, packs and ships orders daily, accurately and timely to remain current on order fulfillment.Receives and stows inventory.Logs shipping information per policy and procedureTracks shipments as needed per customer or DASCO associate requestReorders inventory to meet normal inventory needsWorks in cooperation with the Director of Supply Chain as needed to maintain and manage local supply inventory.Observes all applicable safety procedures, especially in the use of warehouse equipmentComplies with all patient confidentiality rules, such as HIPAA and any other applicable regulations.Maintains an organized warehouse system.Other duties as assigned by the Manager.RequirementsREQUIRED EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:High School diploma or GED equivalent.Preferred Education And/Or ExperienceSix months’ experience in a pick/pack/ship setting.Additional QualificationsNone.CompetenciesCustomer service / client focusDetail-orientedInitiativeResults drivenPosition Type/Expected Hours Of WorkThis is a temporary positions, and hours of work and days will be based on branch needs between the hours of Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.Supervisory ResponsibilityThis position has no supervisory role.Work EnvironmentThis job operates primarily in a warehouse setting. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines, as well as handheld scanners and a pallet jack.Physical DemandsThe physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.The employee is typically required to stand; often sits, occasionally required to climb or balance; and stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 75 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include both close and distance vision, color and peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
