Outside Machinist Journeyman

Job Description Minimum of 5 years diesel experience preferred. Job Summary / Outside Machinist:Perform major and specialized mechanical overhaul and repair work on diesel marine engines and related marine equipment and systems using work specifications and technical manuals.Duties and ResponsibilitiesMaintain detailed records of maintenance and repair work performed.Maintain open communication with the management team regarding job status, updates, and changes.Communicate effectively with customers regarding repair needs and solutions.Provide guidance and training to junior mechanics and apprentices.Order and manage inventory of parts needed for repairs.Performs other related tasks as assigned, some of which may become essential to the position.
