Embedded Linux Engineer BSP & KernelExperience: 5 10 yearsPlatform: Embedded Linux / Android | Qualcomm SnapdragonRole OverviewResponsible for bringing up Qualcomm Android 16 BSP on the SM4450 device and integrating the platform with the device hardware.Key ResponsibilitiesIntegrate Qualcomm SM4450 Android 16 BSP with the device hardware and reproduce the current Android 14 build.Configure and patch Android Common Kernel (ACK/GKI) and device trees.Bring up bootloader, AVB, partition layout, A/B updates and OTA.Integrate vendor HALs and proprietary binaries for GPU, camera, crypto and other components.Manage Qualcomm support cases and apply Qualcomm kernel fixes.Debug boot failures, kernel panics, thermal issues and battery drain.Mandatory SkillsHands-on Android BSP bring-up on Qualcomm Snapdragon (SM4450, SM6xxx or similar).Strong Linux Kernel, Device Trees, Android Drivers/HAL, Treble and GKI knowledge.Strong C and C++.Ability to read hardware schematics.QPST, QFIL, Trace32 (Lauterbach).Kernel debugging using ramdumps and serial logs.Android build systems: Soong, Make and vendor image packaging.Preferred SkillsSM4450 / Snapdragon 4 Gen 2 experience.Experience upgrading a device across two Android versions.Vendor-layer SELinux policy experience.Power/thermal tuning using Perfetto or Qualcomm power tools.Senior requirement: At least one engineer should have 8+ years' experience and a full Snapdragon bring-up.
