They also advise on legacy preservation through estate planning, philanthropy, and family services such as governance, succession planning, risk management and education of future generations.Primary Purpose of the PositionThe Planning Associate partners with senior advisors to deliver comprehensive, integrated financial plans for high-net-worth and ultra-high-net-worth clients. This role is responsible for translating complex client situations into clear, actionable strategies across income, tax, estate, and retirement planning. The Planning Associate is a core member of the client service team, owning plan development from data gathering through delivery and ongoing maintenance.Main ResponsibilitiesProvide accurate, timely, and effective support for Private Wealth Advisors (PWA), including preparing for upcoming meetings and post meeting follow-up.Communicate with clients to prepare for meetings, organize and analyze client data and input into planning software(s), run portfolio reports, review data and run possible scenarios. Assist PWA in preparing the presentation of client information, participate in client meetings as needed and provide follow-up with clients. Update and make changes to financial plans to ensure client’s goals are on track per projections and make changes to assumptions as necessary. Collaborate with client’s legal, tax and other trusted advisers when necessary.Build and maintain effective internal working relationships and support teamwork in meeting company goals. Provide support to PWA in a team environment. Anticipate the needs of PWA’s and clients. Some travel to visit clients may be required.Support the financial planning department in developing and adopting improvements in Financial Planning. Attend educational and other meetings as required.
