Inside Sales Engineer – Industrial Flow ControlLocation: Minden, NVDepartment: Sales / Applications EngineeringReports To: Inside Sales Manager or Regional Sales ManagerCompany OverviewWe are a leading provider of industrial flow control solutions, including valves, actuators, and related process equipment.Our products serve a wide range of industries:Water / WastewaterMiningChemical ProcessingIndustrial ManufacturingWe deliver reliable, engineered solutions for demanding applications, helping customers optimize performance, safety, and efficiency.Position SummaryThe Inside Sales Engineer supports customers, distributors, and outside sales personnel by:Preparing accurate quotesProviding technical recommendationsCoordinating order executionThis role blends technical expertise with customer service, ensuring clients receive timely, cost-effective solutions for their process applications.Key ResponsibilitiesQuoting & Applications SupportPrepare accurate quotes for valves, actuators, accessories, and engineered equipment packagesInterpret specifications, P&IDs, data sheets, and technical drawings to recommend the right productsSelect equipment based on pressure class, materials, media type, and application requirementsAssist customers with technical questions regarding capabilities, lead times, and certificationsReview application data to ensure solution compatibility with process conditions (e.g., abrasive, corrosive, or slurry media)Order Management & CoordinationEnter and verify orders in ERP/CRM systemsCollaborate with production, engineering, and supply chain to ensure on-time shipmentsPrepare purchase requisitions for components like actuators, limit switches, and control devicesKeep customers informed of order status and changesCustomer SupportServe as a technical point of contact for distributors, OEMs, and end usersProvide after-sale support: troubleshooting, installation guidance, documentation, and warranty assistanceBuild strong relationships through responsive and accurate supportDocumentation & Technical SupportRead and interpret technical drawings, assembly diagrams, and specification sheetsProvide or request engineering drawings, BOMs, and manuals as neededMaintain accurate customer records, quotes, and order files in CRM/ERP systemsCross-Functional CollaborationWork with engineering on custom solutions for challenging applicationsSupport marketing with product feedback, market trends, and competitor insightsAssist outside sales with follow-ups, quote conversions, and strategic opportunitiesRequired QualificationsBachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Engineering Technology, or related field1–3 years of experience in inside sales, applications engineering, or technical support (experience with valves, pumps, actuators, or industrial equipment preferred)Ability to interpret engineering documents: P&IDs, data sheets, mechanical drawingsStrong understanding of valve types, actuation methods, and industrial process systems (training available)Proficiency in ERP/CRM systems and MS Office SuiteExcellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills✅ Why This Role?Work with a technical, customer-focused teamEngage with challenging industrial applicationsOpportunity to grow in sales and engineering expertise
