Title: Perm - Leadership - Director of Finance (Days) Owosso, MIDescription:Salary: ***-*** (dependent upon experience)Interview Process: Phone screen first, possible second phone screen with manager, In-person interview.Permanent Placement Fee: 18%Directorof Patient Financial ServicesThe Director of Patient Financial Services, under direction of theAVP of Finance, provides leadership, direction, and administrative oversight toall hospital leadership for revenue cycle functions such as: Facility and Professional billing, Credentialing,Accounts Receivable and collections process.PRIMARYJOB RESPONSIBILITIES1. Plans anddirects the activities of the Patient Financial Services Department and theProfessional billing services department.2. Manages and directsthe credentialing area which includes physicians, APPs, practice locations,Home Health, Hospice and the main hospital.3. Creates andimplements policies and procedures to promote effective patient accountprocesses to ensure customer satisfaction and overall revenue cycle operationaleffectiveness.4. Responsiblefor oversight of the billing processes for the organization5. Evaluates andensures appropriate and compliant collections policies and procedures alongwith Director of Pre-Services6. Assists inthe managing of revenue cycle vendors to optimize the financial impact of thefacility.7. Responsiblefor determination of personnel requirements for Patient Financial Services.8. Assesses,identifies and defines areas of opportunity for reengineering processes toimprove the management of the entire revenue cycle and cash flow.9. Providesdirection and oversight for the implementation of key internal controls andprocedures supporting the integrity of the revenue cycle and other businessoperations.10. Responsiblefor assessing and implementing appropriate training programs to meetorganizational and customer expectations.11. Develops andprovides, in conjunction with IT, adequate and accurate reporting tools formonitoring and validating revenue cycle performance.12. Responsibleto maintain Accounts receivable at appropriate levels for both hospital andprofessional billings13. Maintains aclose working relationship with the finance department of the hospital and thefacility and professional health information management departments.14. Develops andmaintains strong interpersonal relationships with members of the Leadershipteam15. Worksindependently and manages multiple projects simultaneously.16. Demonstratesknowledge of and supports hospital mission, vision, value statements,standards, policies and procedures, operating instructions, confidentialitystatements, corporate compliance plan, customer service standards, and the codeof ethical behavior.DEPARTMENTALAND ADDITIONAL JOB RESPONSIBILITIES1.
