Managing Director - Transportation & Logistics

Location: On site at office locations within the bank's footprintSummaryAt First Horizon, the Managing Director - Transportation & Logistics a client management role focused on originating revenue generating opportunities across the sector. The successful candidate will be a self-starter, and work collaboratively with other existing team and product members across the organization. The candidate should have existing deep relationships with industry-leading management teams and have c-suite level access. The candidate should be credit savvy and be capable of leading deal teams, managing client relationships and contribute to the growth of the industry line of business. Prior transportation & logistics banking experience required.Key Responsibilities IncludeManage existing customers, cross-sell bank products and prospect for new customersAbility to consistently originate new revenue generating opportunities, and new to the bank customersExpand and manage existing client relationships and develop and deepen prospect networkBe the industry thought leader on sector trends, developments, risks, and opportunitiesWork with underwriters to analyze the credit strengths and weaknesses of prospective borrowers and make loan decision, structure and pricing recommendations which are competitive with the marketplace and achieve an acceptable risk / return for the bankLead screening process for opportunities and lead deal execution teamsBuilds and maintains a portfolio mix of targeted high value and high potential clientsMaintain a thorough knowledge of bank's lending policies and regulatory requirementsProvide mentoring and training to junior resourcesSkills & CompetenciesProven ability to originate and execute lead managed opportunitiesStrong credit instincts and ability to negotiate loan agreementsDetail oriented with ability to multi-taskStrong written and verbal communication skillsExcels in team environment and works collaborativelyOrganized, detail oriented, and problem solverFlexibility and proven ability to diagnose and resolve issuesExceptional quantitative skills and ability to lead and teach by exampleAbout UsFirst Horizon Corporation is a leading regional financial services company, dedicated to helping our clients, communities and associates unlock their full potential with capital and counsel.
