Responsibilities: Reviews, researches, and evaluates mobile computing devices, OS and application software. Participates in the analysis, recommendation, installation/configuration, testing, implementation, documentation and enhancements of the mobile computing environment. Recommends and implements policy and procedure standards for server operations that protect the Fort Bend County resources. Works with outside vendor services to ensure that support contracts are adhered to and services are provided in an efficient and timely manner. Research and recommend technology in support of long range capacity planning to assist IT management in determining future needs in hardware, software and service acquisitions. Engineers and provides support escalation for mobile device hardware and infrastructure. Participates in activities and duties related to emergency management during a local state of disaster as directed by appropriate county managers. Minimum Job Requirements: Bachelor's degree; or High School Diploma/GED and 4 years job experience may be substituted in lieu of degree in addition to required experience. 4 years job-related work experience. Mobile Device Management Software experience. Intune and Workspace One preferred. Strong technical diagnostic skills in troubleshooting hardware and software products. Stay informed of technological advances and trends in the computer industry. Strong organizational skills; verbal and written communication skills. Interpersonal skills and ability to deal effectively with the public, other employees and elected officials. Starting Salary Range: $32.26 - $40.33 hourly based on qualifications Closing Date: Upon filling position All full-time and part-time employees are members of the Texas County District Retirement System (TCDRS).
