The Sustainable Operations Program Specialist 4 at Mt Adams Resource Stewards supports fleet electrification and emissions reduction efforts.
Location and Employment
Full-time, Permanent, Represented position (WFSE). Location: Natural Resources Building, Olympia, WA.
Salary
$5,271.00 - $7,082.00 Monthly.
Partial Telework
Partial telework flexibility may be available, allowing the role to be performed remotely.
Responsibilities
Coordinate ongoing work with internal and external stakeholders concerning fleet electrification expansion and emissions reduction.
Act as first point of contact for program questions related to RCW 70A.45.050, fleet electrification expansion, and support needs.
Provide customer service related to program functions at an agency-wide level.
Use data management tools to compile, organize, and present required reporting data in a clear, concise manner.
Maintain knowledge of reporting requirements; utilize external agency reporting tools and submit required reports as directed.
Design and share information on electric vehicles, charging stations, usage, and best practices.
Serve as the Sustainable Operations Program engagement and compliance liaison, leading engagement with:
Department of Ecology's Clean Fuels Standards Program
WSDOT and Commerce's State Agency Fleet EVSE (SAFE) mapping tool
DES' Energy Star Portfolio Manager Program
Department of Ecology's Refrigerant Management Program
Department of Commerce's Clean Buildings Standards Program for DNR administrative facilities
Track networked EV chargers on web-based portal for usage and proper function.
Track program expenditures, maintain accuracy, and organize project expenditures to highlight trends and present information to program staff and stakeholders.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in business administration, public administration, law, environmental science, public health, or other relevant work-related field; or an equivalent combination of education and/or experience.
Five (5) years of related professional experience conducting research, analyzing policy, law, rules, and/or regulations, and performing project leadership functions on projects related to business operations and development.
Desired Qualifications
Two years of experience negotiating, administering, or terminating government contracts, contract property management, cost or price analyses, or contract compliance administration and/or state government budget management experience.
Experience with AssetWorks fleet management tool.
Experience operating within Commerce's clean building standards program and understanding of Climate Commitment Act reporting requirements and Greenhouse Gas emissions reduction calculators.
Experience using Greenhouse Gas reduction calculators to calculate emissions reduction.
Experience compiling data for the annual Climate Commitment Act expenditure reporting.
Experience operating and reporting within the Washington state Department of Ecology's Clean Fuels Standards Program.
Experience tracking networked EV charger usage.
Strong attention to detail and analytical skills.
Skills and experience with interagency cooperation and negotiation.
Special Requirements and Conditions of Employment
Work is primarily indoors, with occasional outdoor work to review site-specific activities.
Infrequent overnight and out-of-state travel may be required. Periodic visits to DNR facilities and lands managed or controlled by the agency may be required.
