This role supports CES Power's event power, HVAC, and equipment rental operations by keeping generators, trucks, trailers, and related systems in peak working condition. Work is performed in shop and field environments, often under time sensitive conditions that require precision, independence, and strong safety awareness.Primary Job RoleInspect, diagnose, and repair diesel engines and related mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems.Perform routine and preventive maintenance, including oil changes, filter replacements, brake service, and fluid checks. Troubleshoot equipment issues using diagnostic tools, technical manuals, and computerized systems.Maintain and repair diesel generators, trucks, trailers, and support equipment used for event power distribution and temporary infrastructure.Complete accurate documentation of inspections, maintenance, and repairs in work order or electronic systems.Conduct operational testing to ensure equipment functions properly before deployment.Comply with all safety procedures, DOT regulations, and company policies to maintain a safe working environment.Coordinate with operations and logistics teams to support event schedules and field deployments.Provide on site or roadside repairs as needed to support uninterrupted service delivery.Essential Job CompetenciesDiesel engine diagnostics and repair Ability to accurately inspect, diagnose, and repair diesel engines using diagnostic tools, testing equipment, and manufacturer specifications to identify mechanical, electrical, or performance issues.Preventive maintenance and inspection Skill in performing scheduled maintenance tasks such as oil changes, filter replacements, fluid checks, and component inspections to reduce downtime and prevent equipment failures.Mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems knowledge Working knowledge of interconnected systems, including engines, transmissions, electrical circuits, fuel systems, and hydraulics, and the ability to troubleshoot issues across these systems.Attention to detail and safety compliance Consistently completes work with precision to ensure repairs are done correctly, systems function as intended, and documentation is accurate and complete.
